Spinach has huge nutritional value, it's full of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals giving it anti-cancer and anti-ageing properties. It may even give you superhuman strength, like it did for Popeye!
This smoothie really is delicious, the other ingredients help mask any spinach flavour, although you may be like me and like the taste of spinach....
2 frozen bananas
2 cups rice milk (or other milk of your choice)
2 tbsp cacao powder
4 tbsp hemp protein powder (or hemp flour)
1 large handful of fresh spinach, washed
2 tbsp coconut cream
3 medjool dates
1 tsp chia seeds (optional)
goji berries, cacao nibs and chia seeds (optional)
Add the first eight ingredients into a blender, and blend until smooth. Serve sprinkled with the goji berries, cacao nibs and chia seeds. Enjoy!
