Superfood Smoothie



I made this amazing smoothie yesterday, after a hard workout it was just what I needed. The hemp seed protein powder, chia seeds and LSA, provide all of the essential amino acids and essential fatty acids, making this smoothie an ideal post workout meal. Or anytime for that matter!


                              

Serves 1

Ingredients:
2/3 cup rice milk
2 Tbls coconut cream
1 tsp raw honey (use agave nectar for vegan option)
1 tsp chia seeds
1 tbsp LSA (leave out for nut free option)
1/2 banana (peeled)
1 kiwi fruit (peeled)
1 handful of blueberries
3 tbsp hemp protein powder or flour (see note)

Method:
Place all of the ingredients into a blender, blend until smooth. Pour into a glass, top with a sprinkle of chia seeds and enjoy!

Note: If you can't find or afford hemp protein powder, I have found using hemp flour works just as well. It is a little lower in protein and higher in fibre, but just as good, and at less than 1/4 of the price of the protein you can't go wrong!
