1 avocado peeled and de-stoned
1 sprig of mint, washed
one lime, peeled
1 apple, core removed
a handful of spinach
1 orange, peeled
1 kiwi fruit, peeled
2 tbsp hemp seed protein powder or flour (see note)
1 tbsp chia seeds and extra for decoration (optional)
2 tsp honey (use agave nectar, a few drops of stevia or 4 dates for vegan option)
a handful of ice
2 cups of water
Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth and delicious! Serve at once...
If you can't find or afford hemp protein powder, I have found using hemp flour works just as well. It is a little lower in protein and higher in fibre, but just as good, and at less than 1/4 of the price of the protein you can't go wrong!
