1/2 cup rolled oats*
fresh filtered water
1 cup rice milk (or milk of your choice)
1 frozen banana
bunch fresh kale, washed and stems removed
small handful fresh or frozen blueberries
1 tsp chia seeds (optional)
1 tsp honey (agave nectar for vegan option)
Place the oats and almonds into a bowl and just cover with fresh filtered water. Cover and leave to soak overnight, or at least a couple of hours in the refrigerator. The next day place the oat and almond mixture into a blender along with all of the remaining ingredients. Blend until smooth, serve at once!
*Use any oats you have, the less processed the better, so steel cut oats or oat groats would be the best option.
