Turmeric Ginger & Lemongrass Tea

I love to drink a cup of this tea whenever I need a bit of a pick me up. As you probably already know these ingredients are super foods! Turmeric has long been used in the Chinese and Indian systems of medicine as an anti-inflammatory agent to treat a wide variety of conditions. Ginger warms up circulation and metabolism, giving you a flush of energy and natural stimulation. While Lemongrass has been reported to have innumerable therapeutic and other health benefits. Widely used to alleviate certain respiratory conditions, including laryngitis and sore throats, lemongrass has earned a reputation for its anti-pyretic property which reduces high fevers. There is no wonder this tea makes me feel so good!


Ingredients:
2 - 3 slices of fresh turmeric
2 -3 slices of fresh ginger
1 steam of fresh lemongrass, cut into pieces (if you can't get fresh lemongrass you could use 1/4 lemon)
raw honey
water

Method:
Place all of the above ingredients (excluding the honey) into a cup or teapot. Pour boiling water over the turmeric, ginger and lemongrass and allow to steep for a few minutes before sweeetening to your liking with raw honey.

    1. Thanks Mike! I absolutely love your blog, it's my new favourite! I drew inspiration from your Chocolate Avocado Chia Pudding yesterday and made something similar but with dark chocolate melted and left out the ground Chia seeds as I didn't have any.
