Banana Superfood Smoothie

The subtle notes of cinnamon and vanilla match perfectly with the lovely rich, sweet and nutty flavours of the mesquite powder in this silky, creamy smoothie. This smoothie makes the perfect snack paired with a nice thick slice of my coconut flour banana bread!


Mesquite powder is a powerful superfood packed full of protein, vitamins, minerals, and amino acids.
It is also believed to be one of the best foods for maintaining stable blood sugar levels, which is always bonus in my my book!


Serves 1


Ingredients:
1 ripe banana
small handful of ice
1 cup rice milk, or other milk of your choice
2 Tbsp coconut cream or milk
1 Tbsp mesquite powder, also known as mesquite flour or mesquite meal
1 tsp raw honey
1 tsp vanilla essence (the real stuff!)
1/4 tsp cinnamon


Method:
Place all ingredients into blender and blend until smooth, serve immediately..
